Ocean Import Coordinator
Location: Basildon (1 week from home 1 week in the office)
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate Ocean Import shipments from origin

Arrange pickup and delivery

Track the shipment to ensure it has reached the end destination

Verify shipment weight and volumes

Calculates rates with the ability to convert pricing and rates

Responsible for audit compliance

Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation

Supports local sales efforts with timely responses to emails and rate requests

Maintain communications with the customers, carries and vendors

Handles the full process

Handling and resolving Ocean Import troubleshooting

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

4+ Years’ experience in the Freight Forwarding industry

Ability to communicate and provide great customer service

Being able to work independently and part of a team

Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes

Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines

Great organisational skills

Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset

Ability to navigate and work efficiently using IT software

Desired Qualifications:

CargoWise

Flexible attitude towards work

Experience handling FCL & LCL
