Salary £27,000 – £32,000 pa

Midas Recruitment are currently working with one of the largest privately-owned logistics and global trade management providers in the UK and working with an unrivalled network of professional partners across the world. They are experts in all major Global trade markets and specialists in Europe, China, South East Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent. Through global carrier contracts and blocked space agreements they offer a wide range of scheduled services worldwide.

With several positions for experienced Airfreight Import Operators. You will be a confident communicator liaising with relevant partners, carriers and clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Air Import shipments from origin, airline carries and truckers
  • Arrange pickup and delivery inland transportation
  • Track the shipment to ensure it has reached its final destination
  • Verifies shipment weight and volumes
  • Calculates rates the with the ability to convert pricing and rates
  • Responsible for audit compliance with TSA regulations
  • Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation
  • Maintain communications with the customers, carries and vendors
  • Ensure SOP and tariff compliance along with best practices and efficiencies
  • Handles the full process from A-Z
  • Handling and resolving Air Import troubleshooting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years in Freight Forwarding Industry
  • Ability to communicate and provide great customer service
  • Being able to work independently and part of a team
  • Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes
  • Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Great organisational skills
  • Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
  • Ability to navigate and work efficiently using IT software
  • Experience using MS Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Adherence to SHEQ Policies and Procedures

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to commute to work
  • Flexible attitude towards work
  • GCSE’s in Maths and English
